2. Watch Winder Settings

2.1 Preparing for First Use:

Before using the watch winder, manually wind any automatic mechanical watches that have stopped or have low power. You can do this by turning the watch crown or gently shaking the watch in your hand about 60 to 70 times. This ensures the watch has more than half of its power reserve. Set the correct time on your watch before placing it in the winder.

2.2 Important Watch Winder Usage Notes:

  1. Handling Watches: Always make sure the watch winder has completely stopped rotating before placing or removing a watch. Do not try to handle watches while the winder is moving, as this can damage the motor.

  2. Power Supply: Only use the provided power adapter or another adapter with an output of 5V DC. Using an adapter with a voltage higher than 5V can damage the internal circuitry. The power adapter included with this product outputs 5V DC 2A.

  3. Continuous Use: The watch winder uses very little power and can be left running continuously. However, after about 30 days of continuous use, we recommend turning off the main power switch and letting the winder rest for approximately 12 hours. This can help extend the lifespan of the device.

  4. Turntable Load: Each turntable motor can safely hold a maximum weight of 450g. Do not put watches exceeding this weight limit on a single turntable.

  5. Operating Temperature: This watch winder is designed to work correctly in temperatures between -0°C and +35°C.

2.3 Setting the Touch Screen Control Panel:

Touch the screen to select different settings.

Watch Selection: When "00" is displayed, touching "Run" will start all watches on the winder using the last set Turns Per Day (TPD) mode.

TPD Modes (Turns Per Day): You can choose from the following rotation settings: 650 turns, 750 turns, 850 turns, 1000 turns, or 1950 turns per day.

It typically rotates for 1 minute and will rest according to TPD to adjust the interval time for rotation. The winder will operate for 12 hours and then stop for 12 hours each day.

Rotation Direction: Select the rotation direction:

  • Clockwise
  • Counterclockwise
  • Alternate Rotation (rotates clockwise and counterclockwise)

Start or Stop: Touch the screen to toggle between Start (🞂 Running) and Stop (⬛ Pause).

LED/UVC Light Options:

  • First Touch: Activates the LED light, which will remain on.
  • Second Touch: Activates the UVC light for 10 minutes for sterilization. It will turn off automatically after 10 minutes.
  • Third Touch: Turns on both the LED and UVC lights.
  • Fourth Touch: Turns off both lights.

The UVC light activates for 10 minutes each time and then turns off automatically. UVC (Ultraviolet C) LEDs are special lights that help kill germs and bacteria. They shine a type of light that is invisible to our eyes, and this light is very good at making tiny, harmful creatures like germs go away.

2.4 Special Notes:

  1. 12 O'Clock Automatic Stop/Home Position:

    • If your watch winder has this feature, when it stops or is paused, the watch holders will automatically return to approximately the 12 o'clock position before completely stopping. This ensures your watches are displayed neatly and aesthetically.
  2. Door-Activated Control Switch:

    • There is a door activation switch (As the black button shown in Figure 1). This controls how opening the door affects the watch winder's operation.
    • Door-Activated Control Switch ON:
      • When you open the door, it will trigger the door activation function.
      • The watch holders will stop rotating, following the Note 1 - 12 o'clock automatic stop function described above.
      • The LCD control screen will also light up for about half a minute.
      • After closing the door, the winder will automatically resume the program that was running before it was paused. Please note: Once you close the door of watch winder safe, the winder might not start rotating right away. This is because the program that was paused might have been in a pre-programmed rest period.
    • Door-Activated Control Switch OFF:
      • When the Door-Activated Control Switch is off, opening the door will not affect the previously set operation.
      • If you want to pause the winder, you will need to manually pause it using the controls on the screen.
  3. Once you have made your selections, the settings will be saved automatically. When there is a power outage, once the power is restored, it will automatically resume operation according to the original settings.
